I don't get it.
It's not a value bet because your unlikely to have the best hand. Your not folding any jack. Also a lot of pocket pairs will call you down. I think its a waste betting out this turn. |

I dislike this line. I think waiting to bet once the J has come off is misguided. The J is one of the most likely cards to hit your opponents and you may just put yourself in a position of having to call a raise to try to draw to overcards (or at least spew one bet without much chance of taking the pot down at this point).
Why didn't you bet the flop? I generally hate the approach of ceding control of the hand on the flop and then trying to get it back by betting the turn, particularly when the turn is a card that likely hit at least one of your opponents. Bet the flop. Probably check and fold the turn. |
