No desire to venture into the $50\'s.
I'm taking a different route playing SnG. I'm not trying to see how high an entry fee I can play, I'm trying to see how many tables I can successfully play.
My first goal was to see if I could 8 table the 10's up to $1,000, I have done that. I am now 8 tabling the 20's and am doing pretty good. I just grabbed an old monitor from my house so I will be able to 12 table soon. For those who have gone from 8 to 12 tables, was it that much harder? I had a tiny bit of trouble going from 4 to 8, until I forced myself to slow down and chill. My ultimate goal is to 16 table the 30's. I have no real desire to hit the 50's. (this may change down the road of course) |

PM'd him that is, I was hoping for someone more my level to answer I'm not a great player, but I've played at least 4,000-5,000 tourneys with a positive ROI and I'm enjoying the 8 tabling of the 20's. I've gotten to the point where I'm becoming more aware, not making hasty calls/raises without confirming everyone's chip stack, position, etc. I'm looking for success stories and failure stories from my people of my like ability. |

actually i thinks would be very valuable if the games dry out like stated in those miller/schoon articles. Any thoughts?

Ender:
What hourly rate are you hitting if you only count your results 8-tabling at the 22s? I think this is an interesting idea, and am starting to seriously doubt if I'll ever have the skill/moxie to grind it out at the 110s or 215s. |

[/ QUOTE ] obviously i have thought of this as well, hence my 20 tabling 22s escapade. i wanted to ensure i could make 100/hr somewhere at low stakes. well, its as good as done. boring, but doable. holla |

or spoon him. [/ QUOTE ] The spoons position: (also spoon position, spooning) is a popular sexual position. The name derives from the way that two spoons may be positioned side by side, with their bowls aligned. I'm not sure Raptor is into this but I could be wrong. Straight Flushes, SAM |

Re: No desire to venture into the $50\'s.
I am currently 8 tabling the 22s also, only have 2 monitors now though but my get a 3rd and 4th eventually to 12 or 16 table them if I find I enjoy it more than moving to the 55s or 109s.
$100/hour like this with lower variance would be fine by me. |

Re: No desire to venture into the $50\'s.
So is this the start of a new era? This is a really interesting debate. I'm going to start a poll. If I can figure out how to do that thingy

Re: No desire to venture into the $50\'s.
Ok, I consider myself between a 10-20% roi player, so i'll do both of the numbers.
$22 = 2.20 - 4.40 per tourney. 8 tabling = $17.60 - $35.20 per set, a set lasts 45-50 minutes, so approximately $20-$40 per hour. My ROI has been ridiculous this month and I'm pushing closer to $60 per hour, but last month I had a downswing at the beginning of the month that didn't turn positive till the 15th. (25 buy in drop) So, 16 tabling, that puts it at $40-$80 an hour, and then switch to the 30's and that puts you at $60-$120 an hour. Ridiculous, if you can do it! However, tilting, disconnections, and human error now greatly affect ROI. Imagine 16 tabling the $30's and having your service go out for 30 minutes?? Plus, what percentage of people can actually 12-16 table? I'm wondering if my limits will be reached at 12 tables. |
