low m high q situations
HOH dosent spend much time on Q so i assume he dosent put much importance in it.
in mtt online where you often end up in these high Q low m situations i wonder if an approach as aggressive as he advocates is correct. what adjustments do you make in these situations that are so different then anything one encounters in a major tourny? matty |

Re: low m high q situations
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but can someone explain to those of us that haven't read HOH2 yet, what exactly are you talking about with m and q and any other letter that may be referenced here?

Re: low m high q situations
m is how many rounds you can play without losing all your chips. its essentially the pot size before the hand is dealt divided into your stack. q is how your chip stack compares with the average chip stack.

Re: low m high q situations
The only time you should even bother considering Q is in satellites and prize package tourneys where the top X amount of players get the same prize. Then you are looking at your chance of getting into the payout with your current stack compared to other players, and know if you should pass up on marginal situations etc, AKA the folding pocket aces threads about when you are 94%+ to get in the payout if you fold and the best possible odds you are getting with aces are 92%
