What is the appropriate strategy against a weak tight?
What are the signs of a weak tight player? BTW, did a search back 4 a yr. & didn't seem to find such a thread. |

Re: Weak tight strategy
I like to always have position on weak/tight players.. They check, I can steal with anything.. Also on non-threatening board out of position, it's good to bet since they're probably playing high-cards.. In addition, in position facing a bet from weak/tight is an easy fold unless you also caught something big.. that way you'll always be losing min chips.. You can also try and isolate weak/tight and take it away from him on the flop..
of course sometimes you'll be facing overpairs and will lose a bit of money, but it should garner profit over the tournament session |

Re: Weak tight strategy
weak tight players are scared to put money in without huge hands. they often check and let you take pots from under them and only bet when they've got the goods. they bluff, but not nearly as often as us aggressive players.
best strategy is to attack them when theyre checking (and giving up if they call) and let go of a hand if they're the ones betting. |

[ QUOTE ]
What are the signs of a weak tight player? [/ QUOTE ] Blind play in the early rounds can give some indication. Watch for people folding their blinds when they had good pot odds and great implied odds to call. Check down's also can give some indication. Watch for players who check down hands that are strong enough to value bet. |
