Default starting hands, pre-flop stategy

this post can also apply to multi table tourneys as well. i have been debating on whether to raise with medium pairs such as 99 or 77 or just call and see a cheap flop. is it a good idea to raise with these hands or try and bust someone by limping in.

Sorry Dude,

Your question cannot be answered as written. First, NL and LHE are completely different animals. A correct play in one may not be correct in the other.

Is the table loose? Tight? Your position? Bets preceding your position? Considerations of others yet to act?
