Dude, you have the NUTS on the turn. Cap if you like money.
I probably cap the flop, too. |

Re: Pocket KKs to trips gets reraised
It's obvious I'm a moron. There's no way to take this hand back.
I flopped a full house earlier in the session, thought I had trips, and check/called to a 4 suited board. I expected to make occasional errors as a result of multi-tabling, but think I only made a couple of minor ones in the first couple of thousand hands. Now I made two major ones in the last hour and cost myself an unknown number of bets. Since I am winning about 2.5BB per 100 over the last few thousand hands, I think I am still better off multi-tabling to clear the bonus etc... but this was brutal. |

Re: Pocket KKs to trips gets reraised
Just keep capping streets man. If there was no cap HU, I would probably go about 50 bets on the river (and fold to a 51-bet of course ).

Re: Pocket KKs to trips gets reraised
hey mojo
you have little to fear on the flop and absolutely nothing on the turn. calling the 3bet on the flop isnt bad, especially if you are planning to raise any non-ace or jack turn. i might even be inclined to raise an ace to at least try to get somebody to fold a weaker ace. you have the best hand on the turn. no need to get fancy, just pump the pot with as much money as you are possibly can. on the river, i believe you still have the best hand. the villain was putting in lots of bet before the king came and he liked or didnt care about the king on the turn. only hand that beats you is QT, right? no flush draws out here on the board, so you have top set, the second best hand without needing to worry about the QT. go 4 bets on this river. |

Re: Pocket KKs to trips gets reraised
I don't call this river bet unless I have an aggressive read on villain.

Re: Pocket KKs to trips gets reraised
If I don't cap every street in this pot (or any) then I really don't know where to cap any street. If I was MP1, I would have played pocket aces the same way. What makes you think villian was playing a QT with the way he played on every street? You have the 2nd nuts on the river and can logically determine that villian doesn't have the nuts (unless he's an idiot, and he would already be on your buddy list).

I'm confused by this post. Do you need to learn something from this hand, or is it just a 'look at my mistake' post?

Re: Pocket KKs to trips gets reraised
Dont stop raising, no chance he has QT here. JJ or KJ sound about right.
