Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
Why not? Unless I have a strong read this is almost always a standard 3-bet.

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
There are 3 lines here.
3 bet, see where villain stands. If he caps and leads you are in trouble. Call down to the river. Pop the turn and fold to a 3bet there. I like the last line, but I'm sloppy in situations like this. |

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
I'll often 3bet this, however, we've got good position to call and raise the turn, giving us a better shot to protect our hand in what is shaping up to be a big pot.

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
I usually call and raise him on the turn in such a situation. You are pretty safe, and if you get 3 bet on the turn its probably dump time unless you improved.

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
I'd call the flop and raise the turn.
You're probably good where your opponent has a weaker King than you. If the BB is happy in calling a raise with KX then he'll probably pay you off on the turn and river. If he 3-bets your turn raise however then you have to call down or even dump your hand. Steve Griff |

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
why arent u 3betting this? Not having a go, just wondering about what you are thinking.
The way i see it- Its a very dry flop, villain will be raising a weaker king nearly always. I really think you could do whatever you like on this board, this is perfect for KQ. 3bet the flop or raise the turn, i think you will get payed off all the way vs most players. |

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
I'm in the "use your position to bend him over on the turn" crowd.

Re: KQo - taking it off autopilot
My standard play is to call down then raise the river.
