Omaha H/L at the Taj
Hi. This weekend at the Taj they spread a 2/4 Omaha H/L table. Does anyone know if this is done regularly? How's the competition?

Competition? Well occasionally you might only see 4 people to the flop...

Re: Omaha H/L at the Taj
I actually sat at the 5/10 O8 at the taj and was suprised how tight people were playing. I only sat for a few rounds while waiting for the 5/10 hold'em, but there was only 3 people to the flop and people were mucking alot of hands.

The 5/10 does tighten up a bit more at times. Although you'll often see it as loose as the 2/4.

Re: Omaha H/L at the Taj
Hey MT,
When were you playing the 5/10? I was there from 5PM - 8PM or so, and it was a big aquarium! I would raise holding A2XX after four limpers, receive a few odd looks and still there were six or seven seeing the flop. Made nearly $200 in less than 3 hours. There's about four people you normally need to watch out for when playing Taj 5/10 O8B, but much of the time they now play the 10/20 mixed game (1/2 Stud 8B, 1/2 O8B.) Other than that, just wait for A2XX and raise when the flop hits you --- you will be paid off! |

Re: Omaha H/L at the Taj
I've tried to get in both the 2/4 and 5/10 games at the Taj for 3 weeks now and havent been able to get in. I've seen the lists with enough people to start another table, but they refuse to do so. I would advise getting there early i guess.

Re: Omaha H/L at the Taj
I take the Gambler's Express to AC. If I catch the 10 AM (give or take 5 minutes) train, I usually have no problem joining a game. If, however, I catch the 12:15, it's 50/50 sitting down within half an hour or waiting for three hours to play O8B.
