Are these rates sustainable? (little to no content)
No real content - just my biggest downswing ever at 260BB so I just needed to post something somewhere to get it out of my system. |

In my experience: yes, these rates are all too sustainable.

IMHO, you have played the games backwards........
In the 50cent/$1 game, you should be seeing many more flops, because there will be many more callers (on average) and you will get paid off well for playing any pair and ax-suited in many cases. In the $3/$6 game, you should be seeing half as many flops as you are. A 32% VP$IP on this game will probably insure that you are able to sustain your losing streak. Better luck to you. Re: Are these rates sustainable? (little to no content)
The $3/$6 game was actually a SH game at Stars that a friend of mine convinced me to play. So while the VP$IP is definitely too high, not quite as bad as it seems.
And yes, I generally do see more flops at .5/1, but I think the 160 BB drop this week has tightened me up some. |

Re: Are these rates sustainable? (little to no content)
Are these all the stats you have? Surely you would want to beat 0.5/1 before playing anything higher? I found it useful to log a decent winrate over a large number of hands before moving up, this will give you the confidence and the bankroll you need.

Re: Are these rates sustainable? (little to no content)
Just for the month of May. I actually normally play at $2/$4, but I'm doing a challenge inspired by the one I saw here, where you start at .5/1 and move up a level everytime you earn 50 BB and down when you lose 25BB. Of course, I started the challenge with a 160BB downswing at .5/1. Fun!

Re: Are these rates sustainable? (little to no content)
I'm confused, how did you manage to go from .50-1.00 to 1-2 if you never broke even?
Then how did you mange to go from 1-2 to 2-4 if you never won there either? Wasn't the point of the challange to move up as your bankroll allowed and see how far you can get? |

Re: Are these rates sustainable? (little to no content)
The challenge started the 16th. So everything that is not .50/1 was before the challenge/before the 16th. Just poor luck (and poor play) bleeding over from higher limits to lower limits.
