A terrible fold
A hand from a UB frequent player points tourney (no limit). 3 players left. Blinds are 100/200. Pay off is 200/300/500. UTG plays terribly. Limps in with AA, makes mini raises with big hands. He has T4000. He calls. I call in the SB with Qc5c. and a stack of T3450 before posting. The BB checks. I consider he plays about like me, maybe a bit too aggressive.... He has T2550 before posting blinds. Flop is 2c Tc 7h. I bet the pot of 600. I always bet about the pot as I don’t know better. BB goes all in. UTC calls, leaving him with T1500. I fold . Thinking I may fold into 2 place that way... Just checking that folding was a terrible play. It’s an automatic call I guess? Anyway, BB had T4o and UTG AKo (told you he played terrible). An extreme case of trying not to lose, not trying to win... Qwerty |

Re: A terrible fold
You certainly have the odds to call the raise. The key with these tournies are they are essentially freerolls. So the play is quite bad, normally at the beginning and getting better at the end.
