K9s in the SB.
Ultimate Bet 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter
I have reads on two players at this table. Unfortunately, neither are involved in this hand. Table is decent, on the aggro side. Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 4 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks. -- Fold pre-flop? Flop: (3 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets, BB folds, UTG raises, MP3 calls, Hero calls. Turn: (4.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, UTG raises, MP3 calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls, MP3 calls. -- Eek. River: (13.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, UTG checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls, UTG calls. -- Pot is big, cards are stuck to my fingers? Re: K9s in the SB.
I don't know what the best play is on the river, but everything before that looks fine to me.
One advantage that I can think of to checking the river is that if UTG bets and MP3 raises, you can fold without investing any more money in the hand. I think MP3 probably made his hand, but I would call when it's one bet back to me too. If I bet the river, UTG folded, and MP3 raised, I'd worry he was making a play at me with, say, a missed straight and would probably call and lose two bets on the river. And I'd rather check and call one than do that. |
