Tulsa poker update
There were some curiosity about the cherokee casino in tulsa. here is some info that might help those considering making the trip:
I only played 4-8 holdem which is the lowest limit. there is also 2-5, 5-10 NL and 6-12, 10-20 limit? (i can't recall all of the games) -rake: $2 on small and big + $1 when the pot gets to $10 + $1 when it gets to $20 + $1 and capped at $5 for thirty or more. as you can see the rake can be a killer if pots are short handed but that will rarly happen. -new players don't have to post BB -level of play is typical of low limits (loose passive) and depending on how many youngsters are at your table can vary in aggeassiveness (i think if you can consistantly beat .5-1 on PP you can beat this game) -dealers vary, some fairly effecient most rather slow and new, but friendly overall as are the floor pp -wait can get up to several hours at night specially on the weekends Hope this helps P.S. i bought in for $250, 100 more than you probably need. after 5.5 hours ended +$108 (i'm fairly new to poker (2 years) and this was my second time in a casino) |

Alibabba: Do you know if you can call in and get on the list? [/ QUOTE ] Rico I have heard you can call in for the red chip games only. I was there all day Sunday and the waits really were not bad at all. Also there is a little eating area right next to the poker room with maybe 10 tables or so. You can grab a bite sit down and wait and hear your name called no problem. Its a great little set up. |
