Default My wife\'s Royal Flush at Mandalay Bay

My wife got a Royal Flush at Mandalay Bay a couple of weeks ago. She got a $1,420 jackpot. She also won a HUGE pot from a guy who had quad Kings. He was an EXTREMELY sore loser, apparently wishing he had been playing at a casino with a bad-beat jackpot instead of high hand jackpots. He even told my wife she owed him a lot of that money. What a jerk!

My wife was so unsettled by the whole thing she wanted to leave, so I got up from my table too. Why are some people such incredibly sore losers? I say: 1) If you want to be eligible for a bad-beat jackpot, play where those are available, and 2) if you're going to be so incensed when you lose with a monster, you should probably not even play the game, since those kind of things will happen if you play long enough.

most people are Aholes, i've known this since i was 14.

in reality, if your wife cannot deal with people being babies and aholes at the table, then she should probably quit, because it will happen a lot, and with much lesser hands.

of course they should grow up, but it probably will happen, and that's the harsh reality of life.

Why weren't you laughing in his face?

Why weren't you in there within 3 minutes of the abuse, defending your wife?

It all happened very fast. I'm sure my wife would've liked it if I had been there at the same table as her, turdbreath.

Out of curiousity how did the hand play out exactly? I don't condone or endorse bemoaning the play of another players. But did she flop the royal? If the other guy flopped a set and she was calling raises the whole way down before catching the last card on the river, it wouldn't surprise me that he'd be mad. Again, not condoning his behavior, but if she was "chasing" in his eyes, then I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like that get mad.

On his behalf...

He had quad kings! I personally have never seen a hand of this caliber lose a pot. I probably would have been a little sore, myself, but I agree that you can't take it out on the other player.

I have (I posted it awhile ago - it was a 40-80 hand). It sucks. That said, you shouldn't be an [censored] about it, nor get riled up by an [censored]. Life's too short.

I would have shown him an even bigger jerk...Rick James style!!

I don't mind guys bad-mouthing other guys, but there is something inherently wrong with a guy blasting a woman over a hand.

Damn straight! I can't believe this is the 1st post mentioning the fact that this d***wad yelled at a woman! I don't care if she rivered the royal (and hey if he had half a brain he'd let her draw on the cheap with a set of kings or turned quads), that's just wrong.
