Question about blind payment...
This weekend at Foxwoods I noticed a new phenomenon, players would hold their blind payment in hand until they got their cards and then drop it. This really annoyed me because everytime the dealer would ask for blinds (because they weren't placed) and it would slow things down.
So, uh, is there a point to this move? Are they somehow protecting their blind by waiting for their cards or something? I noticed one guy doing it and didn't think anything of it, but he left and later on two different guys were doing it. It seems awfully trivial if you are concerned about the game suddenly breaking up or something where you decide you don't want to play in that span between dealing start and dealing finish. cjx |

Re: Question about blind payment...
Its funny, people do it as a courtesy to the dealer (so she can deal without having to worry about pitching the cards over or around the blind money). BUT..... some dealers seem to not like when people do it, most however seem to not care either way

Re: Question about blind payment...
Gee, that makes perfect sense, I guess the fact that just about every dealer was initially confused by it is why I didn't get it. I think I'll continue to just drop mine out there though.

Re: Question about blind payment...
I try to position my blind to leave a corridor for the cards; after watching the dealer for a couple of hands, it is easy to figure out where to put the chips to keep out of the way.
