Extra chips for Party\'s million dollar semi-finals tourny-> Worth it?

I have an extra 3500 chips if i sign up for the semi-finals of the Million Dollar tourny.

Will 3500 help me that much? Or rather, i guess how many other peoeple will also have extra starting chips?
