Go for it or wait for a better opportunity
$1000 Freeroll, started with 293 players.
Down to last two tables, 12 players. Blinds 2000/4000, I have 23000 as the big blind reaches me. This puts me 10th, with the biggest stacks around 70000. Places 10 through 18 pay $15, 9th $20, 8th $25 up to 2nd $170, 1st $270. Table has become kind of aggressive-passive, in that players are folding or going all-in before the flop, and usually everyone fodls to the raiser. Everyone's grabbing their share fairly evenly. No bullies or wimps left. I pick up Ace-Ten offsuit in big blind. Button raises all-in (he has me covered), small blind folds. Should I call or wait till I can be the aggressor? (I still have 19k chips left, so I'll probably make the final table if I avoid any disasters, but to get to the big money I'm going to have to double up before too long). |

Now a question for you. Where in the hell did you find a $1000 freeroll with only 293 players? Husker |

Regular $250 and $1000 freerolls based on accumulated points you get from a percentage of what you put into the pot. 293 was above average - 250 is more typical. Best I've managed so far was a 2nd place in a $1k. |
