Re: $22 rebuy tournament 3-tables left
Close your eyes, press call, and pray that you are up agains AJ or JJ or any other pair lower than QQ. You are just too short to not play this hand at a 7 handed table w/ only 4x the BB.

Damn Joe thats not nice. I'd fold because you still have a bit of time before you're truly desperate. Having said that you're getting good odds even if you're behind.
On balance I'd still fold, you have time before the blinds and you're allin raise is still big enough to not be called by anything. |

Re: $22 rebuy tournament 3-tables left
Not sure how your stack compares to the other low stacks at the other tables, but I'd probably push here and hope that I'm up against mid-small PP's. I think it's go big or go home time, with the blinds where they are its not probable that you can limp into 18th, although possible. But you can triple up on this hand.
IMO, for what it's worth... I'll be interested to see what you decided... |

Re: $22 rebuy tournament 3-tables left
Joe,
I can tell you to lay it down 'cause I'm not in the heat of the battle and the MP2 bet screams BIG PAIR or AKs, I just don't know if I could lay it down if I was in your position. Did you have a read on MP2 at all? That is one tough decision. Regards, woodguy |

Then I would push for sure. You could muck and wait for something better, but that might not happen. Plus, when you do pick up a hand you may only take down the blinds. You may limp along for a while, but you're looking at some serious breathing room if you triple up.
Also you are already in the money, of course I'd be more likely to muck this if I was on the bubble. In this case, I'm probably calling and hoping I'm not against AA and KK. |

Re: $22 rebuy tournament 3-tables left
Reading this objectively, I'd say fold. I think your stack is too small to call 8000, and with one raiser in the pot I'd be disinclined to go all-in with AQ. This is assuming you have no relevant reads on UTG's open-raise standards. That's my "book" response.
I know circumstances can "depend", and there are certainly times I would go all-in, but in general, I believe AQ to be NOT a good hand to go over the top of someone else's raise in no-limit. Put another way, if you could be first in the pot with AQs I would definitely say push. But I'd rather wait for an opportunity to be first-in than to raise with it. I think you'll bust out here more often than double up if you play it. Doug |

If it was just an 8000 raise I think it would surely be a push. |

I think 7 handed and that short, you gotta push, but god does it suck. Pray they don't have AA, KK, AK and you're coinflipping.
