Default Rebuy and add-on tourneys

Hi fellas,

I was just wondering if there is general change of strategy comparing to a freeze out tourney, when you have rebuys and add-ons.

I dont want to go too much into detail, but my general approach is to play very tight in the beginning and to loosen up when the stakes increase. How do you guys play, before the last rebuy/add-on ends?

Based upon how my opponents are playing, and the depth of the stacks, I play in whatever manner I believe will maximize my chip EV. That is, pretend those are regular chips, that this is a cash game, and play to make the most money.

As well as what Greg mentioned, if my stack is x+few where x is the rebuy point, I may make a -ev bet of the few if I can take an additional rebuy/addon.

So if you could get a rebuy anytime you have 1000 and I have 1020, I might find a place to get 20 into the pot so if I lose I can get another 1000 in chips.

Obviously you don't take this too far.
