Party Software for Mac?
Apparently party has no Mac software. Anyone go through some other site that mirrors party on a mac? Any other ideas if I (otherwise) want to buy an Apple? Thanks in advance.

Re: Party Software for Mac?
I posted a mac survey a while back and got no responses. I'd love to know how virtual pc is working out for everyone, and how much hard drive space it takes, etc.

Re: Party Software for Mac?
Virtual PC seems to get good reviews (check out this one from Macworld.)
Here are the system requirements from Microsoft: [ QUOTE ] System Requirements for Virtual PC for Mac Version 6.1 To run Virtual PC for Mac Version 6.1, your computer must meet the following requirements: 500MHz native2 G3 or G4 Macintosh with a CD-ROM drive (Please note that Virtual PC for Mac Versions 6.1 and lower do not run on the G5 Macintosh) Mac OS X version 10.1.5, or 10.2.1 (Jaguar) or later To use Virtual PC for Mac Version 6.1 for OS 9, you need: Any native2 G3 or G4 Macintosh with a CD-ROM drive Mac OS 9.2.2 To use the Windows XP Professional Guest OS with Virtual PC for Mac Version 6.1, you need: 256 MB physical RAM (Mac OS X) 192 MB physical RAM (Mac OS 9) 2 GB free hard disk space [/ QUOTE ] You can buy it from Microsoft here, although I am sure there are other* ways to procure it. *illegal |

Re: Party Software for Mac?
For the price of VirtualPC, you could probably buy a used PC. I'm a Mac guy too, but I got a Dell P4 1.6 with a 21" Sony monitor for $140 off of Craigslist. Much better than going with Ebay, because you can check it out before you buy. Also, it's such a buyer's market for used PCs that you can negotiate a very reasonable price. If you have the space for an extra system, I'd go used.

Re: Party Software for Mac?
I use VirtualPC on a G4 PowerBook. It's slow, but it's playable.
At home, I play on my laptop using remote desktop client connected to a real pc, or I play on a PC directly. |
