Stardust $2,500 freeroll tournaments
Today, I became aware of a great promotion the Stardust is running. They have a weekly freeroll tournament which pays out a guaranteed $2,500.
In order to qualify for the limit hold 'em tournament, you need to play just 15 hours at the Stardust (from Wednesday at noon to Wednesday at noon the following week). That will get you $100 in tournament chips. You can earn an additonal $50 in tournament chips with ten additional hours of play (T$5/hr). This is the pay out structure: 1st: $1,000, 2nd: $500, 3rd: $250, 4th: $250, 5th: $125, 6th: $125, 7th: $75, 8th: $75, 9th: $50, 10th: $50. This seems like an extraordinary freeroll for 3-6 players. |

Re: Stardust $2,500 freeroll tournaments
This why I swore that I'd never play in the Stardust room again.
Everybody gets a time card to log their hours. Every game has four players, plus six walkers, and all the walkers have time cards tucked under their stacks. These guys can't afford to sit an play for 15 hours, so they walk for as much of it as they can get away with. I cry to the floor, and the floor is sympathetic, but the promotion goes on. The third time I swore that "I'll never play in this cardroom again!", the resolution stuck. I haven't been back since. |

Re: Stardust $2,500 freeroll tournaments
Hmmmm....
As my plane touches down at 9:30 pm on Tuesday night, I don't think I have quite enough time to make it into next week's freeroll...too bad. :-) CMP |
