I feel like a fish...
Party Poker 1/2 (10 handed)
Hero has 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and is BB UTG folds, EP1 limps, MP2 limps, Button folds, SB limps, Hero checks Flop(4 SB): J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero checks, EP1 bets, MP2 folds, SB calls, Hero calls Logic was an ace may be good, gut-shot, backdoor flush draw and I close the action. Tell me this is bad... I felt like a fish b/c a heart came on the turn, I called again and then folded the river. So I went call-call-fold... |

Re: I feel like a fish...
Don't feel too bad, I'd bet the flop.

Re: I feel like a fish...
Ah, ok...
This was the beginning of a bad run at the table. I went up about 12 BB in a heartbeat and then started losing to a couple of fish faster than I'd won. Made me wonder if things like this were the problem. I thought the call was ok, and considered betting also... Grr. |

Re: I feel like a fish...
I think your choices are, in order of my preference fron greatest to least:
1. Bet the flop. 2. Check/fold the flop 3. Check/call the flop and semibluff-raise the turn. |

Re: I feel like a fish...
By showing no aggression at all you gave yourself little no chance to take it down unimproved.
I would have bet the flop and followed through on the turn if I improved. Including the heart coming off. Peace, Joe Tall |
