A - 5 Triple Draw Lowball
Currently hitting UB for their reload bonus and want to play some lowball draw, tried it out on the micro limits last night and really enjoyed it, but would like to know some more about strategy before moving up. Anyone know of any good resources (preferably on the net)?

Re: A - 5 Triple Draw Lowball
i can't give you complete advice on the game, but tailor your play to how many players are in the pot. in a zoo game where four or five people stick around for multiple draws, tend to break your hand to try drawing at a 6-low or better, as a much better hand will be needed to win. in heads-up pots, you should be much more willing to stand pat on flexible hands like 8432A, especially after one or two draws have been completed and you know your opponent is still drawing.

Re: A - 5 Triple Draw Lowball
Position is HUGE...totally huge; I mean absolutely enormously important!! Let's you be creative with raising to make an opp break a hand, standing pat rough when they draw the last round, etc etc.
And draw smooth early! Go for it on the first draw - throw away those 7's in A-5. Don't go fishing around with rough draws. Leave that to everyone else. On the later draws you can hold the rough cards, depending. I know, pretty vague, but keep position and drawing smooth very much in mind, it'll stand you in good stead. |

PS
Quickly figure out who the players are who'll draw rough and also - and especially - the ones who require a quality hand to be in there, so you can get out of the way sharply with anything less than primo quality.
