Mrs Slavic was sweating ne on this hand. For simplicity we will call her Slavinia.

Slavinia: Oh your going to play this hand? <claps excitedly>
slavic: Wait a second, lets see who bets.
Slavinia: But that last guy beat you Kings with AJ.
slavic:Yes he did but that doesn't make it a good hand.
Slavinia: Oh and when you had Q's and that other time you had AK, I like this hand.

slavic: Ahh limpers, time to raise.
Slavinia: Oh he 3 bet you.
slavic: err

Flop is of course worthles with 2 diamonds.

Bet, call

Slavinia: You have nothing why are you in?
slavic: errr

Turn: 3rd Diamond

I raise

Slavinia: Why are you raising you have nothing? Stop that's $8. Stop Stop!

River: Nillo

BB checks.

I reach to Bet, and Slavinia slaps my hand and checks behind.

The pot is pushed my way.

Slavinia: You won! Ahh what did he have?
slavic: errrr

In case you care at this point BB had KsJs

If you have a sweater at the tables, make sure they aren't weak tight, or worse weak clueless.

I hope I'm reading this right. First off I'm not sure how you stayed in the hand after the flop. You had 2 limpers in front of you so they're probably not the real problem, but the BB raised after you. I'm not feelin' to good about my hand right about now. A raise from the BB with to make it 3 to go should be considered pretty powerful. Even if you flopped another Ace you would still have to wonder if you had the best hand. I see your back door flush but that is a pretty big longshot I probably don't wait to see. From your post you don't even have a pair. I see that you won this hand... In the long run You will save yourself a considerable amount of money by not playing the hand in the first place. The only way you can even come close to winning this hand is by betting on the river. Over and over again this will not be a profitable play. You won this battle, but I don't think you can win the war like this.

I would generally fold on the flop unless BB is ridiculously overaggressive preflop.

Default Wow... I just don\'t get it

I still don't really understand why online and B&M play is so different. Though there was an online-style player in my 10-20 game the other day. Oof...

Yea I agree with you. I was giving him credit for a decent ace, but I've seen many BB reraises with decent heads up hands lately that are just trash in a protected pot. It's almost as if people are tryng to protect their BB's when no steal raise has occured.

I thought the semi-bluff turn was automatic in this case and I would have bet the river. Turns out I didn't need to. Does AK or AQ call me down here?

I'm not sure I like the play, but I thought I could make a better hand fold / catch my flush often enough to make the hand pay off.
