Going to Phoenix on Business...Need some Casino AZ Info!

Hey folks...I'm going to Phoenix next week on business and I'm staying at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort...located at: 11111 N 7th St, Phoenix, Arizona 85020. Is this very far from Casino AZ? I will not have a car so was wondering how much a cab would cost between the two places (or if there is other cheap transportation in between). Also, what are the games like there? Will I be able to find 15-30 or 20-40 on a weeknight? What about 10-20? Any details you could provide would be great!

It shouldn't be too expensive of a cab ride. You are about as far north as the casino that has poker, so you only have to go east. They have two casinos and now Indian Bend has the poker room. The other casino used to have it so the cabbie might be confused, but you want to go to Indian Bend which is the closer of the two to your hotel.

There is usually a 20-40 game, although I haven't been there on a week night in quite a while, but there has been one going at odd hours when I've been there on the weekends.
I think it is likely that there will be one.

I'm not sure about the other limits, but the card room is so busy that you should find something in those limits, although there might not be a great variety of choices at those limits.

I think the round trip cab fare would easily pay for a rental car. the 20-40 holdem is alway going. the cardroom is on indian bend just east of the 101.

A 1-day car rental = 1 BB in 20-40. So what's the big deal? [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Gives you some flexibility too.
