Default Lost in Translation

Saw Lost in Translation yesterday. I was disappointed. FWIW, my wife loved it, my sister-in-law like it a lot. I would give it a B-minus.

I find Bill Murray very funny, but other than in two or three scenes, he really had nothing to say. Not just nothing funny to say, but very few lines.

For those who have traveled overseas, particularly to Japan, there is a lot to smile about. The differentness, the insomnia and jetlag, etc. But that was good for about a half an hour. I would have liked more movie after that.

I imagine Murray will be nominated for an Oscar for his performance. The movie is worthwhile seeing; perhaps I had expected too much given the reviews.
