Default Oh Granny, where for art thou?

Is anyone else as sick as I am of the crap on this forum. I might as well hang out full time on RGP. I always enjoyed Granny's responses to these kooky threads. Now she is gone and I am sure she is not coming back. I hope I am wrong, but I believe her last post was written by her and then posted by her husband after her......well anyway, I am not a very important poster on this forum but I am taking my leave. I have learned much from most of you guys. Some of you are the type players that I always aspire to be. This has been proved in the KOZ tournies that I have enjoyed very much even though I have never cashed. By the way, Simon, you sure you got me placed right in the rankings? LOL! I will continue to lurk and hope this forum returns to become a bearable place to hang out. Will you still let me play in the KOZ? I hope to cash one day.

Hung, where the hell are you? Great poster!
Jason, keep up the good work! I will always look here for your progress.
Homer, Cup, Rusty, Jek, Lori, Simon, MS, keep up the good work. You guys are great at what you do!

I, for one, do not mind a moderated forum. I have been reading this forum for, well, a long time. It took me awhile to build up the courage to post. I just knew I would get flamed for asking some stupid question or something. Well, I must say I have never been flamed. I have been told when i did something stupid and knew it was meant in a helpful way. Too little of that here lately. Mat, please do your job as well as you can, this place has become unbearable.

I'm sure. Consistency is rewarded in my rankings system.

I respect your decision here David, but (and it's a big but) you should not let a handful of morons spoil your enjoyment of the forum. There are world quality posters on this forum, who keep coming back for more - wading through the shite can be annoying, but is definitely worth it.

You are welcome to play the King of the Zoo tournaments regardless of whether you stick around here or not.

Simon

David, I too am not happy with alot of what has gone on here in the last few days. And Lord knows I miss Granny..... but dang it son, us Texans have more gumption than most and you need to stick it out! Heck, we we're badly outnumbered by them pesky Mexcans (no offense my hispanic brothers to the south) and we still stuck to our guns (so to speak) in ol' San Antoine. I'd hate to see you go....the decent folk will be outnumbered by the chimps, deans, and other assorted wackos.

David,

In every thing there is good and bad. Marriage, Poker, forums, animals, what have you. If the good outweighs the bad it is a good thing and vice versa. Now if you have been here a long time and gotten as many good things as you say how could the last couple of days outweigh that?

Please take a deep breath, and think on it logically.

I can assure you that Granny's last post was written by Granny.

Much to no suprise of all of us that know her, she is still around. She has moved from making everyone's life miserable at twoplustwo, to making a bunch of Doctor's and Nurse's miserable. That's just fine, because where there is still fire, there is still hope. There had not been much hope recently, so I say this with great pleasure.

The one thing I can assure you of David, is that Granny would not approve of you bailing over this recent pollution.

Many of you have sent cards and letters to Granny, and a few of you have heard back from family of hers. For those that have not gotten a direct reply, I have been asked to tell you that she has seen all of the snail mail. She has not signed on since her last post, so she has not seen the forum, save for what some friends have told her about her farewell post. The cards and letters have been very inspiring to her and her loved ones.

A couple of things she has always given me the blessing to clarify, but it never seemed appropriate until I read this and a recent thread.

First, the fact that her last post was #2400 is simply by chance. There was no plan, nor message in that number. Second, the last hands of online poker she played was at the KOTZ tournament. This, as opposed to the post number of her last message, was intentional. This speaks volumes for her commitment and love of the Zoo.

I am Granny's friend first, and attorney second. Therefore I can't answer any questions you may have that are of a personal nature. I can only post what she wishes me to post on her behalf. Finally, I can tell you that she has prepared a post for me to transpose that I hope I never have to. The point is that if there is any news, all will hear it.

Let's hope one day that it comes from her, and not me.

Wassup........ I must thank you for updating us.

Haven't posted much lately at all....super busy & all that stuff.

My last post was in response to Granny's latest (as opposed to last) post. In it, I told her that I was holding out one of my Red Sox box seats for her when they make the playoffs this year. Well, their magic # is now one as we speak. The game starts in a few minutes, and I'm looking forward to the playoffs starting next weekend. I really did have a seat set aside for her, and I'm still holding it.

Please convey to her that if she can't make it, I will be sure to think of her while I'm in my seat (there will be a smile on my face when I do), and in that way, her spirit will be there.

This latest update caught me by surprise and seeing the words in print has confirmed my fears. I'm feeling very sad with this news & don't want to get mushy...(there's no crying in baseball), but, dammit Granny....we miss Ya & I'm sure I speak for all when I say that we wish you nothing but to flop a Royal in your latest hand......

Myrt........

woohoo, I have a fan.
There're several reasons why I don't spend too much time on the forum anymore. I came to this forum for Granny. Now she left and it's not the same anymore.

I just got promoted (woohoo) and I don't have the time to post anything. Time just flies by here. I can't believe how fast it goes.

2+2 has taught me so much that I have become a big winner. I make more money playing poker then I do working. I consider poker as a parttime job. Life is great. I still chat with some 2+2 posters. Most of the time I chat while I play.

I'm also working on our Belgian 1st rookie tournament. You'll find more info on my website the coming few days. Don't hesitate to come to Belgium. Link to my site can be found in my profile. No update since months...

I also opened the Belgian 1ste pokerschool. I want to teach the basics to newbies. So our club can grow. Belgium is one of the last countries in europe that has no ranking on pokerineurope. I've to work on that.

The master classics is in Novemeber. I'm planning to play sit & go's to get a seat to the main event. Hope to meet of you guys in Holland (casino).

That's it for now. Hope to see you at the tables. You'll find me on the $25 NL HE tables. (empire, party and UB)

Let's rock n roll.
