Default AKo hand

Not sure if I'll be able to respond much to this post til much later, but I'd be interested in hearing thoughts.

Party 50c/1.00 Table is fairly ordinary, not ultra loose but with some calling stations, pretty passive.

I pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the CO (It's a full, ten-player table). Two calls to me, and I bump it. Button and SB fold, BB (on whom I have no read) 3-bets, the UTG limper now folds, EMP calls two, I cap, call, call. Three to the flop of:

A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to me and I bet, both call.

Turn is:

Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB now comes out betting.

Your play?

I would raise. He could have AJ or AK clubs. If he reraises then you have to make a decision.

If he had AQ he might have gone for a check raise.

I would not...I would say he most certainly has AQ...just call, and call the river to see.

If he has AK of clubs, then I definately would not want to raise.

Why not?

You are getting freerolled if he has AcKc

If he's a typical .50/1 player, I wouldn't put him on AK or AQ. Probably a weak A, or Q9.

I think ropey was saying that if my opponent has AcKc, we're chopping, at best, but that she has an extra way to beat me with the flush.

Hence my reason for raising. I want ALL club draws to pay.

Even ones that I can't beat and won't fold if they don't hit?

So you want to help a guy free-roll you? Maybe I'm confused about this game.

a 3-bet from the BB with AQo? This is in tune with the maniacal play from the blinds party had a month or so ago but it seems to have died off. I'd be more worried about QQ although I can't see why he didn't go for a C/R. Maybe he's afraid you put him on a big pair with his BB 3-bet and is afraid you may check if you have AK/KK/JJ, who knows. He could also have Ac with K-Tc or less if he's real crazy with his 3-bets. Either way, I think the chance you're behind vs being free-rolled makes a slow down your best play.
