20-40 flop slowplay heads-up
5 or 6-handed. My opponents are terrible.
Folded to me on the button w/ As4s. I raise. SB folds. BB 3-bets. She is a terrible player. She has a big hand. I call. Flop 2c 3c 5c She bets. I call. Turn 2c 3c 5c Kd She bets. I raise. She calls. River blank She checks. I bet. She calls. Who raises the flop or waits to raise 'til the river? I bet you can't guess her hand. (Well, now that I said it like that, maybe you can). |

Re: 20-40 flop slowplay heads-up
I'd raise the flop and re-raise a re-raise (3 raise max where I play). I'd fold to a bet on the turn against this terrible opponent and call a bet on the river.
I'd put her on AA or, more likely, KK with or wihtout a club. After you said it like that I think she had 67 clubs. |

Re: 20-40 flop slowplay heads-up
hi ulysses
i think you should raise on the flop to see how much she likes her flush. no one can be so bad as to not realize that you may have a high flush card and that they must raise to make you pay to draw out. if she reraises, you may want to cool it a little and check-call unless a fourth club hits. it looks like she has Ac and what her other card is i couldn't tell you. since you didn't raise the flop and don't know where she stands, your turn raise is a little more risky, but i like it. if she reraises you can fold; if she calls, the river is worth another bet. i don't know why you didn't raise the flop though. i think the priority here isn't getting more bets in the pot, but rather getting a read on the possible flush. it costs 1/2 a bet, but i think it's worth it. additionally, you have a made hand that won't improve. so if she has a high club, you want her to pay the most on every street starting on the flop. she got a cheap peek at the turn. |
