Re: Stars $55, AQs that Flops a Royal Flush Draw, Multi-Street Decisio
Unless you screwed up the flop suits you have a flush and straight draw, not a royal flush draw. Beyond that you obviously have two choices. Check and see what happens. Bet and see what happens. There really isn't much to comment on. You've got 12 outs to the nuts. You're slightly behind top pair. It's reasonable to play it aggressively and get chips in the middle. It's reasonable to play it conservatively and see if you improve.

On the River, then
Not much interest, so I'll just post the final decision point.

My line: While he bet very small, I figured a "checkraise" and a "checkcall, lead turn" would have the same effect, while the "checkcall, lead turn" had less risks involved. Plus, if I checkrose, he called, and a blank fell, a check on my part would be completely weak, while I didn't like the idea of having to lead the turn after checkraising the flop. I found frankin's river bet strange. He bet small on the flop, just called my turn bet on a draw heavy board, so I didn't think his hand was very strong. I figured one pair hands would check behind me on the river. I felt he either slowplayed a hand in a funky way, just made trip 8s or some odd two pair like, or just missed a draw. Should I even be considering a call on the river? |

Personally I like rasining PF your probably ahead of most limpers and you can narrow the field. You probably should check that flop because there are so many people seeing the flop. It's level 1 so I don't think you need to gamble for all your chips with this.
