ATo in the BB
Live tournament and after this hand I questioned my judgement on this play.
UTG, MP2, CO, SB all limp. I look down at ATo in the BB. I have about 10x the BB at this point UTG (tight), MP2 (tight), CO (loose calls lots of raises plays predictable), SB (???) My image is very tight only showing down real hands. I have played tricky trapping 2 players and have been unopposes PF or on the flop even when I bluff. Figured UTG for 2 paint because he has always shown 2 paint when in EP. MP2 i figured had a suited ace like A8s or 2 paint like JTs. CO who knows he just kept calling and folding the flop and he was not too good so I figured I was ahead. SB limped with a drawing hand probably. I sat there and thought for about 30 seconds at all the hands players had. I was watching each player as they called, or folded. I didn't sense any big hands by all their reactions. I decided to push. Anyone calling would pay 9 to win 15 so its not 2:1. all the stacks were larger save the CO which was smaller. But if they call and I win I cripple them. I figured my images would make them all fold and if not then my hand would at worst be 50/50 to a small pair. Thoughts? RESULTS in WHITE: UTG thought and called with (77) his reasoning is that he thought I had AK and that one ace was dead. CO called with (99) because... just because he had a pair. MP2 claimed he folded (AJ) after it was over. BOARD A A 4 T 2 rainbow As an afterthought I felt that play was too risky in this sort of game with average to above average players. Not sure if it was the right move or not considering my stack size. This was middle of the tournament. |

Re: ATo in the BB
Good push. Horrible calls by villains.
