Mid-pair hand late tournament play
G'day all,
Playing a $100 freeroll freezeout on Titan. Final two tables, 11 players remaining. Blinds are 2,000/4,000. Hero's table is: UTG - 42,000 (tight) UTG + 1 - 84,000 (tight) Button/Villan - 102,000 (agressive) in the last ten hands had pushed all-in at small stacks with K7o and A8o SB/Hero - 14,000 has 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (had show down two nut hands at this table in the last hour and successfully stolen from the button; not other pots won) BB - 28,000 (very tight) UTG and UTG+1 fold. Button/Villan calls. Hero goes all-in. BB folds. Villan calls. Result in white: Hero shows 8 of spades and an 8 of diamonds Villan shows A of diamonds and a 9 of diamonds Villan's hand catches A of clubs to win. Was this a good move, or should I have gone another round of the table hoping to catch a better hand to shove at or hoping to condense to the final table hoping to get more time for a better shove hand?? Thanks in advance, leeroy5000 |

Re: Mid-pair hand late tournament play
Yeah, this was fine, blinds are too big to wait and i'd be happy to get my money in with 88

Re: Mid-pair hand late tournament play
I'm sure you missed many good pushing opportunities before this. You waited too long, but at least you finally put it in here. The fact that you aren't sure this was the right play speaks volumes.
