I don't lead that flop. You have a garbage hand that didn't hit. At least UTG voluntarily put money in. I'd have no problem folding to a flop bet here. Turn and river look fine.

i have a double belly buster straight draw, so i was semi bluffing, as an 8 or Q gives me the straight. I commonly bet when i have OESD or flush draws etc.. is this bad? i view it as i can win by the villian folding , or i hit and the pot is big.

Your play isn't bad. It's just that I like raising my draws in multiway pots or to take control of the action with position. Neither applies here. Your play isn't poor or wrong or spewing (assuming you fold if you get popped back on the flop) and I would do it against villains that I know will lay down anything but TP in this situation, but I don't know that I would say it is "standard".
