Default Confidence Interval

I am about 1 BB/100 after 20k hands of 3/6 6-max.
I am about -1 BB/100 after 20k hands of 5/10 6-max.

I realize that 20k isn't very many hands for 6-max, but I was wondering what my confidence intervals look like. Assume regular standard deviations for my winrates, of which I don't know what the number is...

Thanks for your help,
Spicymoose

Default Re: Confidence Interval

The standard deviation of 6-max LHE is typically about 17 BB/100. That may vary slightly depending on your playing style and how aggressive your opponents are.

After 20k hands, the standard error of your win rate in BB/100 is 17/squareroot(200)~1.2. So, your 95% confidence interval is roughly your observed rate +- 2.4 BB/100.
