overpairs vs. shorter stacks
The situation came up twice last night...
Hero has full stack, villainitos have ~40bb Raise AA, KK, QQ and flop is unders. One time i bet, guy raises all in for $15 more, its like 2:1 maybe a little less. Another time it was call and then i check hoping the go all-in, they do and i call. Should i ever consider folding like i would against a full stack. I feel like i usually win these but last night it was a set all three times. How do you generally play these types of hands against less than full stacks? Do you ever fold? |

Re: overpairs vs. shorter stacks
I think its safe to say most of us give too much action to short stacks.
There's a reason, we assume they can't play poker. |

Re: overpairs vs. shorter stacks
I'm always happy to get all-in with nice overpair or a good-looking TPTK for 50BB.
