Can anyone explain the theory or reason behind the fact that you can't see everyones hand in a showdown? The extra information about what players went to the flop with would be invaluable.
Is this the same for b&m casinos?

I was under the assumuption that first you see the cards of the person who was called and then anyone who can beat him/her shows their cards. Is this true?
