Default 400nl pushing hard

Party 6max
Effective stacks $400

Hero utg+1 raises to $15 with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB calls.

I have been playing with BB for a short time but he seems to be good and very aggro.

Flop ($30) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Check, bet $24, Villian minraises to $48, Hero pushes.

Looks right to me. A full house is unlikely given the board, so semibluffing is cool.

It all depends on what that check-min.raise means. Barring reads about it, I'd say it makes him holding a 5 very unlikely. And as long as he does not hold a 5, the play is very good and correct. He'll have troubles calling you without a 5 or a very strong PP, like Js and up. And even vs, a PP higher than 8s, you'll have 40% equity.

The only problem is the times he does have a 5, you'll be getting 100BB in to a small pot w/ about 25% equity.

This means that he'll have to have a 5 less than 40% of the time (given that he'll always call with a 5)for you to break even. And I definately don't think he'll have a 5 40% of the time.

P.S. This is assuming the the times he will get the money in with an over pair is outweighed by the times he will fold an over pair.

All in all, I like.

not the best line, but it's fine. He has a small overpair. if it is 66/77, you are ahead, if it is anything other than AA you are in good shape.

I'm posting so I can get suggestions for a better line, if there is one.
