Default CHIP SPEW?

No reads, and as I'm learning 6 max this is my first time at a $50NL6m table. Comments preflop welcome too. With what frequency should I be doing this (if at all) w/o a read.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG ($12.36)
Hero ($52.25)
CO ($42.50)
Button ($27.43)
SB ($49.92)
BB ($75.15)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold</font>, Hero raises to $2</font>, 1 fold</font>, Button calls $2, SB (poster) calls $1.75, 1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($6.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)</font>
SB checks, Hero bets $6</font>, Button folds, SB raises to $20</font>, Hero calls $44.25 (All-In), SB calls $27.92 (All-In).

FWIW, villain took a while before checking so I imagined it was a tough decision for him. My guess was FD, or FD+ pair but i realize he could have a better flush

Not folding a flush on the flop short handed without MONDO deep stacks is probably a mistake under no circumstances.

Hmm, confusing double negative. Meaning as played is ok?

Being a native spanish speaker, I do that sometimes.

In other words, I was trying to emphasize that if you never folded a flopped flush in a 6 max game, you'd do just fine. It's like folding KK PF in a full ring game.

haha nice, so it's the same hindsite bias where you feel youl've got to call at the time, but if you see AA you say "I KNEW I should have folded"?

I play this the exact same way, and am delighted to get all my money in. You'll be behind on this flop very, very rarely. Sometimes they catch up - fact of life.

No, I think " dammit, oh well," b/c the last three times before that I should've folded KK pre-flop but called, I was up against AKo, AQs, and QQ.

In short-handed games, you CAN'T wait for the nuts to get your money in, especially with relatively shallow stacks, or your more observant opponents will catch on and start running over you. Put them on a probable range of hands, figure out whether you'll be ahead here often enough to make the play +EV, then stick your chips in the middle if you decide that you are. All there's to it.

i think there may be some circumstance where folding a flush on a 3 flush board or folding a flopped 2nd nut full house is correct. i just haven't found it yet, and don't plan on it. NH...
