Default JJ

Canterbury 8/16 9 handed
SB here thinks he is good and likes to talk about his play and the the play of others. He commented on a hand i played earlier, and then made another referenece to it again later. i said nothing except, "I play bad". he clearly has no idea that i am pokerbob and that he is way out of his league here. (he learned later when he lesft with very few chips)
I raise UTG +1 with JJ, 2 dummies cold calls, blinds call.

flop 5 ways: KKTr

checks to me and I bet, folds to SB who calls, BB folds.

The way SB sat up and acted, I really felt he had a K here.

Turn HU: 5
he checks, I check.

River: 2 brings running 's

he checks, I bet, he raises, I...........

id call, tells cant be 100% reliable

is this the type of guy who would literally never c/r on a bluff or a ten or something?

edit: i also probly would have bet the turn, you dont want to let an ace hit for free, but with your specific read i think the check is ok

Calling is good. He senses weakness on the turn, and I'm sure he's looking for a cheap showdown (if he doesn't have a king), so he checks the river, it looks like you are bluffing to him, so he raises.

I would call quickly. This seems like the type of player that would try to run a "super sophisticated bluff" just so he can turn it over. I think this tell actually means weakness.

When you checked behind on the turn, would he really check into again on the river with a monster hand?
I'd call.

I think bet/folding the turn is far superior to your line..
