Did you meet resistance because villian has something special, or because you led the flop with a $2 bet into a $6 pot? Raise more preflop (4xBB+1BB per limper is a good guide), and bet more on the flop. And now if you meet up with some resistance, it's not because of weakness on your part, but more because villian has a hand. As played, unless he has 66, I think you're good.
