Default Worst fold ever?

$1/$2 on PokerStars (I will update with the official hand history later tonight, I'm at work now)

Hero: AA in sb (yea)

about 3 limpers, hero raises, all call

Flop: A 6 T rainbow (HOORAY!)

Hero bets, MP and LP call.

Turn: J (boo...)

Hero bets, MP RAISES, LP call, Hero RERAISES, MP and LP call.

River: Q (%$#&!!!!)

Hero bets, MP calls, LP RAISES, Hero.... ? he curses the poker gods and folds.
MP calls.

LP shows QT for 2 pair, MP shows JT for 2 pair.

Hero is responsible for the death of several thousand kittens due to this play.

Was this the worst fold in the history of humanity? I mean, I put them both on high cards so a king being out was very likely? If MP wasn't acting behind me I call, but I could see him reraising it and it getting capped, etc.

The fact I bet out and had been betting/raising the entire time didn't even scare the idiots (I could easily have AA/AK, but obviously with the cards they showed they aren't exaclty thinking about what I have).

Yes, and it's not even close.

So? I king being out is four to a straight...it had to be either K9 or AK for you to care.

Yeah, that sucks, but don't show the results, dude. FWIW, I probably check call the river, maybe even if it's 2 to me. Also, you're giving your opponents to much credit in more than one way: in what they bet & raise with, and that you think they put you on some kind of hand.

Perfect storm dude. No worries. LP's raise is scary as hell on that board. This fold will be incorrect extremely rarely. Bad fold? Yes. Probably. You need a good read for that to be correct. Worst ever? Not even close.

Think about it. He raised and there is no hand you could reasonably have that he is ahead of. One hell of a bluff there.

Would have been a lot better if your hadn't suggested in your title and then shwon the results.

IMO this is a bad fold because the pot is huge, and people are retarded enough to raise without a king here.

But worst fold ever probably not, as the vast vast majority of the time someone has a king (I caculate that the pot is like 20BB), I'm guessing you're good around 1/10 times here, so it is like a 1BB mistake (anyone else have thoughts on that?)

OK I'll try to cheer you up and say this is NOT the worst fold ever and here's why...
Alright granted that according to the books and the math you can't fold here because there is no way to be sure you are beaten in this large pot. BUT in all these weak passive low limit games this happens all the time and usually if you get raised by a weak passive player you are dead (even more so if two of them do it). You get beaten so often here that maybe the books are wrong and you save money in the long run by folding...
Of course here you took it on the chin and found out (once again) a very important fact - THE BOOKS ARE RIGHT!
No matter how many times you call down the weak passive players raise and find yourself on the short end of the stick you have to keep doing it to avoid saving one bet and loosing a huge pot. This hand is GREAT because it should remind you never to do this again (at least for about another 10k hands)...
Of course its even better for those of us who learn the lesson by reading this rather than taking it on the chops ourselves
