Default how beginner-ish is russell fox?

wondering as i've seen different comments.

if i know low-limit quite well, how valuable will this book be???

basically asking whether i will be paying for half the book being the absolute basics (flush beats straight, rules etc.).

i've generally read good reviews but then i see some negative although very vague reviews.

got phil gordon's little green book. very good but not exactly a textbook feel.

I finished reading it a couple of weeks ago.

I thought it was okay but it was way too short.

There were concepts that should have been expanded into whole chapters & should have had more detailed examples.

I've been playing for a little over a year so most of the concepts were things I knew already.

I just like reading poker books hoping to get other perspectives on playing.
