a pair, gutshot, and the 2nd nut one card flush draw
4/8 live
I limp J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button behind 5 fishy limpers. Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] EP bets out, a bunch of people call, pretty well everybody calls, I raise, pretty well everybody calls. Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] checked to CO (loose/passive) who bets, I think for awhile and fold. Should I be raising this flop? I figured it was probably for value, plus it helps define the hand if the club comes. |

Re: a pair, gutshot, and the 2nd nut one card flush draw
I wouldn't fold the turn. I don't think CO is bluffing, exactly, and I do think he probably has the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], but bad players sometimes overestimate the value of their hand on unusual boards.
The flop raise seems all right to me. If I thought there was a good chance the EP bettor would 3-bet, though, that would make me hesitate. |
