Default On a 300BB downswing

in 40 80.

This easily dwarfs any I have suffered prior to this. And I am still a big winner in the game, but it's eating at my psyche. I know I have made at least two bad folds because of it.

Suggestions?

don't make bad folds. Dude, you know how it works, if you think you have holes in your game, post hands. I feel your pain, though, had a bad swing last month. Try taking time off?

Forget that you're on a downswing.

there is no answer. there's nothing you can do, except allow the downswing to turn you into a mental rock, and, not to belittle the effects of war, but, a soldier, so to speak. did you make the right decision? if the answer is predominantly yes, then [censored] the results.

that's what i'm focusing on. [censored] the results. if i made the right decision, the +ev play, then [censored] it.

This is a dim-witted post;
The kind that we all hate the most;
A jumble of stats,
Or downswinging “Rats!”
Like a virus in search of a host.

If you are a good, winning player,
As opposed to a chip-spewing brayer,
Get back to the felt,
Play the hands that you’re dealt,
And soon you’ll be doing OKer.

Take my advice, please, you unthinking clod,
In the form of this good-natured prod,
This won’t help your game,
But will get you flamed,
Stop posting this crap! Where’s the Mod?

why not move down?

--if you keep losing you lose less and that's less painful.

--you're more likely to win b/c the game's easier and winning feels good.

you can risk having your play and your bankroll deteriorate, or you
can ease yourself out of it and have a good time. whenever I lose
substantially more than 100 bets, I move down to get a chunk, if not
all, of it back.

Shorten your sessions, play a lower limit, skip a few sessions, in other words, doing something a little different so that it mixes up your game which will keep the spotlight off the bad run.

However, keep in mind that you must focus on the correct plays still. When you're on a downswing, you are most certainly NOT doing the right things all the time, and will start playing differently as you had mentioned already. If you can ride this out, your upswing will dwarf this downswing by a lot, and this moment will just be a laughable memory. Hang in there.
