Default 5-10 deep bottom two hand

5-10, loose passive game, 6 - 8 way flops or 3 - 5 way raised. I'm playing/running well and getting a lot of respect from the table. An unremarkable player opens in EP for $30, MP ($2000) calls, several call, a TAG solid player ($4000) calls, I cover and call in the BB with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. MP is weary of me as I stacked his overpair earlier with a flopped set, check/call flop, check/raise turn style. There is a mutual respect between me and the TAG, we joke and talk and generally stay out of each others way...

Flop ($150ish) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I check, MP bets $80, TAG calls $80, I check-raise to $250, MP thinks and calls, TAG shoots me a concerned/confused/interested glance and calls.

Turn 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, MP checks, TAG bets $400. I hesitate, think for a while and really consider the possiblity of being beat here, but decide to call, because I know I certainly have MP beat and I want to try and see how TAG will react to my call and potential river cards (even though they may already be irrelevant). MP folds.

Action?

I'll post results/what I did later.

I dont p;ay NL so flame away.

I think you have played it well so far, but i think i would lead into him here about 2/3 of the pot.

I think he calls with a made flush? however if he has the flush he has played it poorly on the flop.

I think i fold if he pushes, but this is read dependant.

Bet half pot, fold to push, be shown top 2 pair, flush, even straight.

i think yhig
bet 600 or so
it gets interesting if he raises (Ac5x ... ???) but usually a fold

why didn't you raise the turn? his bet looks way too small for an overfull and it distills the river nicely

A TAG has 97 here?
Cant see A5 either - maybe A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5x?

There are a lot of things this could be - flush, flush draw, JJ, 10 10 , 99, 77, slowplayed Aces or kings with a club

I bet 3/4 pot - and have a VERY hard time mucking if he pushes

You check raise the flop...then TAG leads into you AFTER he filled up if he has 99 or 77?

Why would he NOT check here and let you bet your flush, flush draw, lower boat or even take a free card?

Many would check raise the flop with the Ace hoping for the free river card if the turn misses - if has anything that beats you he should be willing to give you a free card here. His bet tells me you are ahead

I wanted to keep the other guy in. Why would someone bet huge with the overfull? This idea makes no sense to me, his bet is fantastic if he does have 99 or the like...

I think he wanted to keep the other guy in as well. FWIW, if I had 99/75/77 in his shoes, I would bet this turn as well...checking just seem like giving up free money.
