How to play middle pair hands?
Is this a good standard play in this situation? Once 3 bet i should dump the turn UI most of the time correct?

Re: How to play middle pair hands?
I'd just lead. I find CR in these situations tends to light a fire under bad players. For some reason they seem to think it's a bluff from my experience. I sometimes use this play when I flop trips for that reason. In addition, leading gives you descent fold equity on this board. It's not very drawy so you're not likely to be raised by a draw as often.

Re: How to play middle pair hands?
Why are you checking the flop?
You only go for a checkraise if there is a very loose player who nearly always autobets when checked to. Bet out if you get raised then you can choose when to dump it. |

Re: How to play middle pair hands?
Makes sense. This isn't typical for me to CR here. In these passive 2/4 games I find if i bet out i will quite often be paing off a weak J.

Re: How to play middle pair hands?
I raise preflop.
I lead the flop, its small, no chance someone will bet, and quite vulnerable to overcards. Turn fold is good how you played it. |
