Default How much is not showing a steal worth?

Let me say, first off, that this is a $5 tournament, so of course there is good reason to think that image is of limited importance. But the guy who folds in this hand, at least, will probably make note of what I raised with. I've been very tight up to this point, and as we had just gotten to the bubble, I was planning on opening up a bit. The pot was offering me decent odds to call with middle pair, but how much value should I assign to keeping whatever tight reputation I currently have?
