Default 77 overpair

A situation that has me wamboozled is when I have a medium PP and flop an overpair to the board. How do you proceed in these kind of situations? (I know, a vague question, but some general tips would be nice)

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter

Button ($22.55)
SB ($45.20)
BB ($17.85)
Hero ($25)
UTG+1 ($27.60)
MP1 ($36.90)
MP2 ($18.95)
MP3 ($50.85)
CO ($19.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
Hero calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, MP3 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1.5</font>, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $3</font>, BB folds, Hero calls $1.50.

Turn: ($7.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $5</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $12.50

Like a weak/tight nit.

It really depends on the texture of the flop and how many people are in the pot. In this example I would bet and fold to any resistance. I would fold to the minicheckraise. I know it sounds weak but you're not usually winning a pot when against 5 players with an UI small pair.

At the very least he has A6 and that's a good scenerio for you. He could already have a straight/set. He could also have an overcard/inside straight draw/flush draw combo or two overcards with a flush draw so you're almost never in any kind of shape to continue.

c/f in a mulitway pot, especially with any draws out there. With fewer people in the pot and no draws on the board, I bet the pot and proceed with extreme caution if any one calls.
