Preflop, you might have bet a little less...maybe t175. There were 3 limpers, so t200 is not out of line with position.

Flop, I think you have the odds to call. It's costing you t510 for a pot of t1185, a little over 2:1.

You have two overcards and a draw to a gutshot. This feels like a stop and go to me. What range of hands would UTG play that has you beat with this flop? I doubt he's playing suited connectors for the flush or bigger straight. He might be fishy enough to play small pockets for a set. I think 77 to 99 are more likely.

yea i put him on middle pair too... but he turned over the worst hand i coulda seen 33. Why he called 200 out of position w/ that I may never know. But I had five outs against him and lost when I bricked. It was the early stages so I put him on pocket pairs and broadway, not suited connecters since he called 200 cold (1/3 of his stack nearly). But yea, I was just wondering if I was getting good enough odds. Thanks for your help.

But the 200 raise wasn't too much for that situation? I usually go 3bb + every limper. Should I always follow that or should i just go 4-5 bb assuming thats enough to discourage action.

A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] is even worse. Against that you have only 2 outs to win and 3 to split, and he has a 15 out redraw if you hit a queen. Of course, AA is even worse, you have only 4 split outs vs AA.

Vs. 33, you have 5 outs to win.
