Default Seahawks Safety hospitalized after assault

Ken Hamlin hospitalized.

I just heard a radio report that included a Harborview Hospital spokesperson- he has a fractured skull, a blood clot on his brain, and brain bruising. He is alert when he is awake. 24-48 hours of observation needed. Serious but stable condition. Story is still 'breaking'; details to come.

I am nauseous. Hamlin is one of my favorite players, and really seems to be a fun guy. Screw football- I just hope the guy comes through this with no permanent injuries. Very sad.

Hammer's a fun player to watch, and I'll leave it at that.

Hamlin was found at the intersection of 1st Avenue South and South Main Street.

Apparently he got into an altercation with a guy and got hit in the head with a freakin street sign.

Hamlin is one of my favorite Seahawks. I will be wearing his jersey for every game from here on out.

Jesus, that's horrible. That's also a block away from my office, right near elliott bay books.

Just saw the videotape. Apparently he was the aggressor. He also sucker punched the guy.

The more I see/hear, the less respect I have for Hamlin.

[/ QUOTE ]nevermind, www.seattletimes.com has it on the front page. Wow, this looks bad for Ken. No one deserves to be beat up to that degree, but he definitely blew up the situation.
