Default AA flop check

Whaddy'all think of this one?

Online 40 80 game.

MP openraises, I reraise with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the cutoff. The headsup flop is

K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Check, check.

Turn is a small card. Bet, call.

River ten. Bet, raise.

EDIT: turn and river were not hearts.

Right or wrong, my thinking was that a bet is not going to fold out any hands I want to get rid of. I don't think he will fold anything with a heart, or any pair plus straight draw type hand (JT, etc.)

It might fold out a hand like Q8 or J8 -- but are those really likely?

It might also fold out a hand like 89 -- but I'd rather keep that hand in.

By checking I may induce a turn bluff, and will also save money when I am beat.

um your not betting to make calling hands fold, your betting to charge hands that can call a bet to draw out if they have a worse hand and also to get information on what their range may be.

just because he won't fold a heart or pair+straight draw doesn't mean you don't bet, you are still a favorite.

bet it and play poker.
